A touchy, sound-reactive little creature with its own evolving personality
So much of human communication happens through physical mannerisms: a
raised eyebrow, a tilted head, a fleeting smile. As AI and robotics take on a
larger and more intrusive role in our lives, I wanted to explore low-tech,
deliberately crude visuals that represent human emotion. Vidiotbox aims for
digital whimsy, getting away from goals and clearly defined functions. It is a
physical device that combines a touch-driven expression system with sound
and mood reactions, dynamic lighting and a WiFi hotspot setup for continued
customization.
